Gaza and Egypt

Gaza was under Egyptian control before 1967. Although Gaza was occupied by Egypt, Gazans had no right to Egyptian citizenship.

Then Egypt attacked Israel in 1967, along with Syria and others.Israel pushed their attackers back through Gaza and across the Sinai desert. When Israel and Egypt made peace some years later, Israel returned the Sinai. Egypt was offered, but didn’t want, Gaza too. So Israel occupied it as a buffer and estabished some settlements there, including greenhouses for growing crops.

In 2005 Israel gave Gaza unilaterally to the Arabs living there and pulled out all the Jews, by force in some cases. The first thing the Gazans did was destroy the intact greenhouses that could have provided them with an export crop.

Then they appointed a terrorist organization to govern them. An orgainization with a Charter that said they want to kill Jews everywhere in the world.

Despite this the Israelis provided them with water, electricity and jobs in Israel.

The Egyptian government meanwhile build a 6 layer wall and fence to keep Gazans out of Egypt. Why? Because the last time Palestinians were in Egypt they tried to overthrow the government.

Of course the 7 October raid was intended to provoke a violent response. And the attackers, those rapists and murderers of unarmed young girls, were lauded as heroes when they scurried back to Gaza to hide behind women and children. Utter scum.
